A simple start to my final major project looking into the digital impact on traditional publishing (books, newspapers & magazines) among other things. Looking forward to it, just nervous about having no clear idea of where I’m going to go with it. The image is in reference to the little hand icon that pops up when you go to click on something, will these digital references replace the tactile feedback of paper? Also the font is Myriad Pro, that used by Apple, a likely cohort of the downfall of paper-based publishing.

Yay! My PC is working again. About time!

My 60,000th song listen on Last.fm is Still Alive - The Theme from Mirror’s Edge by Lisa Miskovsky, it was only six months ago that I totaled 50,000 song scrobbles. The game might not have been much to write home about but the music matched it perfectly. Still it’s important to support game studio’s taking risks, otherwise we’ll all been drowned in boring FPS’s all day long.

So a week ago I ordered the Binary & The Brain’s the Birds posters, it came the next day so I’m being a bit slow to write about this but I was busy back then. Have to say it’s a very nice poster. Love the paper it’s on and the red. Lovely.

Broken

So here I am using my 24” screen with my MacBook Pro as something has given up the ghost in my PC. I’ve ordered something that will arrive tomorrow that will hopefully fix it but until then I’ve just got to wait and hope that it does.

Have to say, Apple’s font rendering on the big screen is really nice to see. I just hope I can fix my PC in time for Mass Effect 2, only have three days to play it before going back to Uni work.

This is cool I’ve been invited to display my Manifesto work at the WSA gallery. Just got to hand in my portfolio tomorrow and then I’ll have some time to respond to that.

And my new website design is live to coincide with the finishing of my self promotion brief, now everything is nicely designed.
